Conditions of in-person classes
We must share with you the mandatory requirements to take an in-person class at Alliance Française de Pasadena this To be eligible to enroll in an in-person class for the Sessions, students aged 12 and older will need to:
- Provide us with proof of Covid-19 vaccination (either a hard copy or electronic copy);
- Sign (or if the student is under 18, have their parent or guardian sign) a waiver form to be provided
- Wearing a face covering or face mask is highly recommended but not required in our office and classrooms at 232 North Lake Avenue, Suite 105, Pasadena, California.
We can provide masks if you feel more comfortable wearing one.
The teacher may wear a face mask.
There is an air-filter in each classroom and the tables will be disinfected before each class.
If you've been exposed to COVID-19, and you don't have any symptoms, please, wear a face mask and get tested in 3-5 days after exposure. If you have symptoms, you must follow the quarantine rules by CDC.
Students under age 12 will not need to provide proof of vaccination. Anyone with a medical condition who is eligible for an exemption from the vaccination requirement must provide us with a letter from a physician verifying the exemption. Please note that all of our teachers who will be teaching in-person classes have confirmed that they are vaccinated.
These requirements for attending an in-person class will remain in effect until such time as the Board of Directors determines that changes can be made. No one will be permitted to attend an in-person class unless that individual complies with the above requirements. Anyone who begins an in-person class but then violates the above requirements will have their enrollment in that class terminated with no refund given.
We continue to monitor the guidance, regulations, and orders issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), State of California, County of Los Angeles, and City of Pasadena. As we are all aware, the situation with Covid-19 and its various variants can be fast-changing. As such, from time to time we may need to modify these rules for in-person class attendance, including restricting class sizes, changing the dates or times of in-person classes, changing attendance requirements, or converting in-person classes to online classes.
These are difficult times for everyone, but we hope this step of reopening for in-person learning will be beneficial for many of you, while at the same time we know that many of you will prefer to continue your learning in online classes. Whichever choice you make we look forward to welcoming you back for our Fall Session.

Alliance Française de Pasadena would not and cannot exist without you, our students. We want you to know how much we value you and we thank you again for your continuing commitment to learning the French language, attending our cultural events (which will continue online), and supporting our nonprofit organization.
