French Classes in Pasadena – Group Courses, Workshops & Private Lessons

The Alliance Française de Pasadena offers a wide range of French language classes, including group classes, thematic courses, cultural workshops, and private lessons for adults, teens, and children. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced speaker, our French courses are designed to help you learn French efficiently and confidently.

Each group French class is limited to a maximum of 10 students to ensure an interactive, high-quality learning environment. New students may join a group at any time during the session, with tuition prorated based on the remaining weeks.

If you have studied French before, we encourage you to take our free placement test to find the most appropriate French level. You can select your level below to browse our full selection of group French courses and read detailed descriptions of each level.

Enrollment, Tuition & Policies

Tuition must be paid in full by check, cash, or credit card on the first day of class.

➡️ A 3.5% non-refundable processing fee applies to all online or credit card transactions.

You may avoid this fee by paying by check or cash (please do not mail cash).

No refunds will be issued after the end of the second group class. A $50 administrative fee applies to all refund requests.

For private or semi-private French lessons, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

All students must hold an annual membership, which covers access to every group class session and supports our mission as Pasadena’s French language and cultural center.

If only one student is enrolled in a group class, the class will not be maintained. In that case, you will receive a prorated credit or refund.

Registration for Winter 2026 – 5% Discount

We are now enrolling for the Winter 2026 session, taking place February 9 to April 17.

💙 Register before January 15 and receive 5% off tuition.

We are also still enrolling for the Late Fall session, running from November 17, 2025 to February 6, 2026.

Please note that the Alliance will observe a holiday break from December 22, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Group classes resume on January 5, 2026.

Books are available fo purchase at the Alliance Française de Pasadena but there is no obligation to buy them from us.

Adult classes: the name of your book is written in the description of your class.
